Braised Bok Choy

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1- inch piece of ginger peeled and minced
  • 1 scallion white/light green part sliced
  • 1 pound baby bok choy
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Shaoxing cooking wine
  • 1/3 cup low sodium chicken stock

Instructions

  • Place a wok or high sided saute pan over medium-high heat. Add oil and swirl to heat up.
  • Add garlic, ginger, and scallion and saute for one minute.
  • Add bok choy and saute for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, black pepper, and Shaoxing and mix well.
  • Add chicken stock and allow bok choy to braise for 2 to 3 minutes until tender.
  • Serve immediately.
