Coffee Overnight Oats
Coffee Overnight Oats are slammed full of nutrition, great for meal prepping, and take just seconds to make!
One of my favorite breakfast ideas is overnight oats, simply because they are super easy to make, easily customizable, and the nutrition is out of this world when you use the right ingredients.
When I said these are great for meal prepping, you can actually make and store coffee overnight oats for up to three days and they still stay fresh!
Not saying you won’t still need your morning cup of coffee, but these overnight oats could just about replace it!
Overnight oats are a great way to add in more fruits and veggies, along with other ingredients like protein powder, seeds, and nut butters. This is a great way to have a nutritious breakfast, especially on busy mornings.
The oats and chia seeds add protein and fiber, and other nutrients may vary slightly depending on the type of fruit you use along with which variety of milk you choose.
Depending on how you switch things up, oats are also great for kids if they like oatmeal!

Health Benefits of Coffee
Sometimes coffee gets a bad rep because of the caffeine content, but it is actually rich in antioxidants including polyphenols and hydrocinnamic acids!
I believe that all foods and drinks are okay in moderation. That being said, most add extra ingredients to every cup of joe like creamer, half and half, sugar, syrups, and the list goes on. In those terms, it may be beneficial to find more whole ingredients as a sweetener.
Did you know that most Americans get more antioxidants from beverages instead of actual food? Crazy, huh?
Ingredients for Coffee Overnight Oats
Oats – you can use rolled oats or quick-cooking oats
chia seeds
salt
Milk – choose your favorite variety, dairy or plant-based
coffee
Optional: sugar, frozen wild blueberries – like another fruit better? Toss it in!
How to Make Overnight Oats with Coffee
In your favorite air-tight container combine the oats, chia seeds, milk, coffee, and sugar if you are using it, then mix together.
Fold in the frozen blueberries (or other fruit of choice) and close the container and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Can I Use Decaf Coffee or Cold Brew?
Absolutely! You can use any variety or brand of coffee you would like, including flavored coffee. You could even use espresso if that’s more of your style!
Does it Matter if the Coffee is Hot or Cold?
No. Since we are going to refrigerate the oats anyway, it doesn’t matter what temperature the coffee is when you mix it in.

Can You Eat Overnight Oats Warm?
Overnight oats are technically supposed to be eaten straight from the fridge. If you wanted to make a warm version of this recipe, I would treat it like traditional oatmeal and omit the chia seeds and swap those for flax meal. If you decide to cook it this way you will also want to reduce the amount of liquid used because chias do soak up a lot especially when everything is combined and stored overnight.
