Paloma Lemonade
Make the most refreshing Paloma Lemonade you have ever tasted using just 3 ingredients! It’s light, sparkling, and you can even make it boozy!
When those hot summer rays are beating down on you, all you want is a drink that is cold and refreshing! Paloma lemonade is also a perfect beverage to serve up at your Father’s Day barbeque with guests!
The version I’m going to show you how to make is non-alcoholic, so everyone can enjoy. But if you like a boozy cocktail now and then, you can add some tequila! Scoot over margarita because there’s a new favorite drink in town!
Traditionally people mix grapefruit soda or juice with tequila to make the cocktail version, but I am putting my own spin on the recipe by adding lemonade.
Be sure to have some mixed nuts or a salty snack nearby because they go so well together!
While this recipe is for one serving, you can easily make as many as you would like. Just mix it together in a pitcher and wait for guests to make their drinks before adding the ice.

Ingredients Needed
- grapefruit soda or grapefruit seltzer
- Lemonade – store-bought or homemade
- Juice of ½ lime
- Garnish with a lemon wheel or grapefruit wedge
How to Make Paloma Lemonade
Fill the glass with ice. Pour in the grapefruit soda or seltzer, lemonade, and lime juice. Stir and enjoy!
Choosing the Tequila
If you are going to add tequila to your Paloma, use about 1 ounce per drink. A mid-shelf brand will do such as Patron Silver.

Tips for Making
- If you want to make it sweeter add a little simple syrup.
- Too strong? Wait for the ice to melt or add more lemonade
- For a fancier version when using tequila you can rim the glasses with coarse salt.
- Some double up on the alcohol and use White Claw Grapefruit seltzers.
- You could also swap the soda for grapefruit juice and sparkling water if needed.
