Cherry Cooler
Cool down this summer with a blended frozen cherry cooler! It’s super simple to make, nice and refreshing, and great for parties!
Even though you and your guests are going to fall in love with this delicious drink, let’s talk about what cherries have to offer. They are full of vitamins and minerals even though they aren’t spotlighted like berries are.
One cup is less than 100 calories and is packed with antioxidants. While they are at their peak season in the summertime, I recommend freezing a big batch so you can enjoy them all year.
You can easily have them as a snack, and they are also delicious on salads, in smoothies, and for baking.
I am using frozen today for the cherry cooler just so it’s frosty. Plus when you freeze fruit for drinks you don’t have to worry about it being watered down with ice cubes.
Keeping frozen fruit on hand is a must for me! It takes the stress away of worrying if it’s going to spoil. Also, frozen fruit has the same nutritional value as of fresh. It’s just fresh fruit may be more flavorful during its peak season.

Ingredients Needed
- frozen cherries
- maple sugar or granulated sugar
- orange juice
- water
- maraschino or Bordeaux cherries for garnish
How to Make a Cherry Cooler
Add the cherries, sugar, orange juice, and water to a high-speed blender and puree until smooth. If needed add a little more water.
Serve in your favorite glass topped with a Bordeaux or Maraschino cherry!
These coolers are best when they are served fresh straight from the blender.
Have fun swapping out the fruit to make other cooler recipes! Strawberry and pineapple would both be great options!
